These terms govern your use of Artful Audit, operated by {{LEGAL_ENTITY}} (company no. {{COMPANY_NUMBER}}). By creating an account or purchasing an audit you agree to them.

1. What the service is

Artful Audit provides a pre-submission audit report on a document you upload. The report identifies items to fix, verify, reconsider, and preserve, organised by category and priority, keyed to locations in your document.

2. Scope and boundaries (please read)

The audit identifies what to fix, verify, or reconsider. It does not certify truth, rewrite your document, provide legal advice, or prove or disprove the use of AI. The report is advisory: you decide what to change, and you remain responsible for your document. Acting on (or not acting on) any finding is your decision.

3. How the report is produced

Reports are produced by automated AI analysis, with an automated self-verification step, and no human review as part of the audit. AI analysis can make mistakes: it may miss issues, misread context, or occasionally flag something incorrectly. The report is not guaranteed to be complete or accurate and is not a substitute for professional copy-editing, proofreading, fact-checking, supervision, or peer review. Treat it as a structured second opinion, not a warranty about your document.

4. Turnaround

We aim to deliver reports normally within 6 hours. This is a target, not a guarantee, and may vary with demand or document complexity.

5. Your responsibilities

You warrant that you have the right to upload each document and to have it processed as described in our Privacy Policy, and that doing so does not breach anyone else's rights or any confidentiality or embargo obligations. You must not upload unlawful content or use the service to infringe others' rights.

6. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in your document and in the contents of the report we deliver to you. We claim no ownership of your document or your report, and we do not use your document to train AI models. The Artful Audit software, brand, and report design remain ours.

7. Pricing, payment, and refunds

Prices are shown at checkout. The founding-user discount applies once per account. Payment is handled by Stripe. Refunds: {{REFUND_TERMS}}.

8. Confidentiality

We handle your documents as described in our Trust & Confidentiality statement and Privacy Policy, including private storage, no model training, and deletion on the stated schedule.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to {{LIABILITY_CAP}}, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make (or do not make) on the basis of a report. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or unlawful use.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of {{GOVERNING_LAW}}, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified through the service or by email.
